Personal Paragraph for Weatherman Brinks
A Truly Stormy Case
The Weatherman Brink's case had such an interesting timeline of events that had me hooked the moment I started reading it. One of the major points that I had read about was that it made shock waves around the United States, even though it was just a small car robbery. The case made it big because the people who robbed the armored car were black and white folk were not happy that African Americans were making such problems in the United States. Because this happened in the 1980’s, racial tension was high and every little crime that black Americans committed was looked at extremely closely and was criticized. This bothers me because if a white person had committed this crime, it would have just gone right through the minds of most citizens in the United States because most white people did not care for the lives of black Americans. Also, something that caught my eye in the case was that there was such high security at the trials because this group of black activists were known for breaking out of prison. It seems like white people don't trust black people and just assume that all black people will break out of prison. The Weatherman Brink's case really provided a new way of thinking about how blacks were treated during this time.

Putters
How they were made:
-Originally, the putters were supposed to be made out of solid aluminum. However, after lots of trial and error, the aluminum was to expensive and was discontinued. Then we resorted to making the putters fully out of wood. The process consisted of drawing the outline of the putter head on a piece of wood. The next step was to precisely cut the putter out of the wood by using a jigsaw. The next step was to drill a hole in the top of the putter were the wooden dowel was going to be placed in. We used a double sided screw and screwed the putter and the dowel together. The putter and dowel were secured by a layer of wood glue. The last step was to paint the putters and dip them into the plaster.
